ACETEA
Career Access Model
Many options are available to interested students.
- High
school students can begin their college education while still
in high school through one of our dual enrollment/technical
articulation programs.
- Qualified,
unemployed or underemployed persons can enter via sponsorship
of the Workforce Investment Act through one of the Alabama One-Stop
Skills Centers located throughout the state.
- Non-traditional
students or recent high school graduates can enter by applying
to the partner college specializing in their area of interest.
Gain
Real Experience While Still in School
Once enrolled in one of the Electronic Specialty Programs, students
can choose to build their skills through on-site work experience
as interns or cooperative education students. Many of our students
continue on to permanent employment with the employers sponsoring
their internships and cooperative education courses.
Students with Industrial Electronic
Degrees Can Jumpstart Their New Careers
Students who are previous graduates of two-year electronics programs
can accelerate their progress by enrolling in an advanced certificate
program in the specialty of their choice. Credit will be given,
where applicable, for courses previously taken in related subjects.
Qualified Students May Continue
on to a Four-Year Degree Program with Our University Partners
Graduates may qualify for transfer as juniors to four-year degree
programs at partnering universities to pursue baccalaureate degrees
in applied technologies or related engineering programs.
Quick Entry into New Careers
Most students elect to go directly into the workforce upon graduation
to accept high paying jobs as technicians for companies utilizing
the technologies taught in our programs.
